Wilhelm Richard Wagner was born on May 1813 in Leipzig, Germany, the ninth go bad of Carl Friedrich Wagner and Johanna Rosin Wagner. After Friedrich Wagner died of typhus six months after Richards birth, Wagners mother married Ludwig Geyer, a friend of Richards father, and go her family to his residence in Dresden.
